Omedweller Bedrock Edition Addon

Mods / Mods 26 [1.26]

Most companion add-ons in Bedrock give you a generic, reskinned wolf that gets itself killed in lava within five minutes. Omedweller takes the concept of a loyal pet and completely flips it into a high-stakes horror mechanic. Inspired by the YouTuber Omenaso, the add-on gives you the "Omebuddy," a companion with a massive 5,000 HP pool that can defend you in combat or independently gather entire stacks of wood, stone, and dirt within a 200-block radius. The catch is the strict, Tamagotchi-style upkeep. You must feed him a cookie every morning and evening. If you miss a feeding, he violently transforms into the Omedweller—a terrifying stalker that actively breaks blocks, tears through your base, and hunts you down for a full minute before reverting. It forces you to constantly manage your inventory and schedule while out exploring, turning a helpful pet into a ticking time bomb.

Because this add-on introduces incredibly complex entity schedules and block-breaking mechanics, it carries the standard Bedrock modding restrictions. Applying this behavior pack to your world immediately disables Xbox Live achievements, so you will not be earning any Gamerscore on this save file. Furthermore, getting the custom AI to function requires manual setup in the menus before you launch. You must toggle on Experimental Gameplay options and ensure Beta APIs are active. If you skip those developer switches, the scheduled midday and midnight transformation triggers will fail, the custom whistle and Ometeddy items will render as broken textures, and the companion will likely lose its ability to track resources across the map.

Hardware performance is a major hurdle here, specifically regarding the custom AI pathfinding. A mob scanning a 200-block radius to independently chop trees or mine stone requires immense background calculation. Modern desktop PCs and current-gen consoles will handle the Omebuddy’s resource gathering effortlessly, keeping framerates stable. However, if you are playing on an older budget smartphone or low-end tablet, this add-on will be a massive bottleneck. The real danger for mobile processors hits when the Omedweller transformation triggers. Having a custom entity aggressively calculating paths and actively breaking blocks to reach you generates severe tick lag and thermal throttling on weaker chips. To prevent your portable device from freezing during a chase, keep your render distance low and make absolutely sure you do not run out of cookies.
